Quality Water Filters 4 You Archive Page

People who have not considered using a fluoride filter in their home should do so. Although the element may not have an odor or taste within water, there are far more important reasons to contemplate removing it from the household water supply. The main reason for this is that it is a health risk, not just to the elderly and young, but also to those with a clean bill of health. There is some evidence to suggest that fluoride can actually cause dental fluorosis, damage to the brain and even IQ impairment.

Be cautious and use a fluoride filter

The problem with fluoridation is that there is plenty of information provided by the water companies about the benefits of the system, but no studies provided by them to show a fair and unbiased testing of the effects of the system. There are some theories to suggest that information opposing fluoridation is being suppressed in favor of outdated and persuasive arguments that show the addition of fluoride to water in a positive light. With many new, independent studies illustrating a lack of benefits of fluoridation, and also showing that the average person gets enough fluoride to benefit their teeth through regular brushing and flossing, it is a good idea to use a fluoride filter and take control of the contents of the water that is consumed.

With people trying to live on more of a budget and save money on their rent or mortgage, it is not uncommon for people to look for smaller homes to live in. This means that there is less space in rooms such as the kitchen, and the occupants have to start being creative to fit things such as water filters in without taking up precious counter-top space. The under sink water filter is designed specifically for this purpose, as the main filtration unit is suspended beneath the sink unit, with the only thing showing above the basin being a small tap for the filtered water to be dispensed from. These are typically much smaller than the main faucet, and are not an inconvenience even in the smallest of kitchens. The benefit of this type of filter is that it can still be large enough to provide effective filtration for fluoride, arsenic, lead and many other contaminants.

How an under sink water filter will affect the taste of food

It is common to worry about the elements in drinking water, but there are other reasons to fit an under sink water filter other than this. People who have only ever drunk faucet water might not realize that there are a lot of metals and chemicals floating around in their glass that are affecting the taste of the water. A filter can remove magnesium, chlorine and hydrogen sulfide, as well as other chemicals that affect the flavor of the water. These contaminants can even affect how certain foods such as pasta and rice cook, and will also interfere with the brewing of tea and coffee. When people install water filters in their home, they soon realize just how big a role water plays in the taste of their food. This is just one of the many reasons to switch to a better approach to faucet water.

Drinking the recommended amount of water from bottles each day for a year would cost     a person around $1,500. When this is compared to the cost of water from a faucet, which would cost less than a single dollar, facts start to become clear about our consumption of water. Another interesting piece of information is that around half of the water found in these marketed bottles is actually taken from tap water supplies. In light of this, it makes sense that a person would want to find a cheaper portable alternative to buying bottled water, and the Seychelle water filter system is perfect for this purpose.

Seychelle water filters: The portable option

Seychelle water filters are made to be portable, and their products range from drinking pouches to straws with micro filters within them. They offer flexibility that does not come with home water filters, and are refillable up to 25 to 150 gallons before they need to be replaced. One of the benefits of these water bottles that is not true with standard plastic bottles is that they are completely non-toxic, offering even more peace of mind in the water being drunk.

When looking for a new water filter for the home, many people turn to the Multipure water filter brand. This is because the name is synonymous with quality and effectiveness. With over 40 years of experience in making and selling water filters, the company has gained certification from the NSF. They are only one of 40 manufacturers known to reduce the amount of carcinogenic Trihalomethanes in water, and one of 5 who reduce PCBs to near-insignificant levels.

Other credentials of Multipure water filters

In addition to these impressive credentials, Multipure water filters are one of the most widely used in medical institutions and schools. This is because their solid carbon-block filters can reduce more contaminants than most other filters on the market. They also serve as a great investment, as one Multipure filter can replace over 10,000 bottles of water. This means that as well as enjoying better health, those who use this type of filter also save money.
