Drinking from the faucet might not seem like a harmful thing to do, but what many Americans are unaware of is what goes into their water before reaching their homes. Without water filters for drinking water, these elements stay in the water and are consumed into the body, and although they are found in minute proportions and controlled, there is still evidence to suggest that this could be harmful to some people.
How water filters for drinking water help
There are just over 2,000 contaminants in tap water, and this count keeps getting higher as new elements are discovered. This ranges from cancer-causing chemicals to agricultural by-products. There are even some traces of antibiotics in some water sources. The most at risk from these elements are young children, the elderly and those with present health conditions. Using water filters for drinking water at the faucet is one of the only ways to filter this out.
