Water filtering alkalizing is associated with raising the pH of water. Water can exist in three states: acid (pH less than 7), neutral (pH of 7), alkaline (pH higher than 7). Water ionizers are another option. These filters ionize the water by running the water over negative and positive electrodes. This process separates the water into alkaline (70%) and acidic (30%). The alkaline water is then used for drinking, and the acidic water can be used for other purposes such as washing. Some water ionizers are available with adjustment settings so you can select the level of alkalinity you want.
