Q. How long does the CQE-CT-00133 fluoride filter system last?
A. 10,000 gallons 1 to 3 years.

Q. Can the countertop filters be backwashed?
A. No, you can rinse the cartridges if you want to.

Q. How long does a disposable countertop filter system last?
A. Approximately 10,000 gallons recommend replacement every 1 to 3 years.

Q Why does my water smell or taste like fish?
A. It is due to the hardness of your water. The lime in your water is turning into calcium bicarbonate due to the KDF in the filter. It can be fixed by running water through the system for 5 minutes on, 5 minutes off, repeat 3 times and time is important. If that doesn’t work you will need a GAC cartridge to replace the multi stage cartridge.

Q. Are the replacement cartridges standard size, like the cartridges at the hardware store?
A. They are a standard size of 2 1/2" x 10". Center hole is approximately 1/2".

Q What if I live in another country and have different type of faucet?
A. You can order the CDV-1 CQE-PT-03015 interchangeable adaptor to make your faucet work with the countertop system.

Q. How long does the 6 stage countertop fluoride filter last versus the 7 and 8 stage countertop fluoride filters?
A. The 6 stage countertop will filter 2,000 - 2,500 gallons, where as the 7 and 8 stage countertop fluoride will filter 10,000 gallons.

Q. Does the countertop filter systems remove bacteria?
A. Only if it has and ultrafiltration, or ceramic cartridge other wise you would need a UV filter.

Q. Are the Crystal Quest Countertop filters NSF certified?
A. Crystal Quest uses NSF certified filtration media, parts, components and materials.

Q. What size tubing do the Countertop filters use?
A. They use ¼ inch tubing.
